B2B Networking Platform for Engineers and Architects.

Engineers had no neutral platform to present their work in a comparable way. The client needed a new B2B brand built from scratch.

Context

Two sides of the same market without a common standard.

Engineers and architects wanted to showcase their work credibly. Clients wanted to compare offers before awarding contracts. No platform served both sides. LinkedIn was too generic, industry directories too static. The market needed a design-led standard for presenting technical services and products.

My Role

UX and UI designer for the digital brand and platform.

Owned UX and UI for the platform: research, design system, profile structures, search, onboarding, and project and product detail pages. Worked in agile sprints alongside brand strategy, copywriting, and development. Ran moderated usability tests on the MVP and folded findings into the next iteration.

Approach & Decisions

Brand values translated directly into design decisions.

Each design choice traced back to a brand value. Freedom drove the airy, whitespace-heavy layout. Roboto was chosen for its technical clarity and precise numerals, the most-used characters in engineering content. Red appeared as accent only, never decorative, to keep the interface calm and the data clearly readable.

Outcome

Awarded brand platform, live as MVP.

Launched as MVP and continuously expanded. The full visual system, from logo to UI components, won the iF Design Award 2018 and the German Design Award Special 2019. Recognition for a design system where every decision was anchored in a brand value, not in stylistic preference.
